Apply a peas size amount to a *DRY* brush.  Then wet your brush.  The coconut oil does take 10 to 15 seconds to melt.  Then brush for 2 minutes.  After brushing swish for the length of your choice for oil pulling.
Be aware that coconut oil is solid at room temperature.  Spitting this down your sink may cause clogs.
